What do we do?

[vc_column_text]#RefillDorset volunteers are the lifeblood of the project. They work in their own areas, at times and on days which suit them, fitted around their other commitments. Each volunteer is tasked with recruiting businesses to the scheme, and spreading the word amongst their local community to make sure #RefillDorset is making a difference to our coast.

Although we might ask individuals to attend relevant local events for or with us to promote the project there are no recruitment targets, and volunteers are given the freedom to work for the project as little or as much as they want to. We currently have a team of 5 volunteers who help us with #RefillDorset in Verwood, Swanage, Wareham, Poole and  Christchurch and, between them, they’ve recruited over 50 businesses.

If you’d like to help us grow the project elsewhere in Dorset please get in touch.[/vc_column_text]

Meet the Crew

[vc_column_text]John moved to Dorset in 2011 with his wife, and regularly explores the coast, picking up litter as he goes. He started volunteering for #RefillDorset in July 2016, and says “I always pick up litter when I’m out for the day, but I really like the fact that #RefillDorset is helping to solve the problem by preventing it right at the top of the chain rather than relying on beach cleans and litter picks to solve the problem.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=”middle” bg_color=”#ffffff”][vc_column width=”1/1″]
